Opinion. The Israeli Navy wanted eight in two batches of four. so     updated versions of the Saar 4 class will replace some of the other FAC hulls. Ton for ton EILAT is described as the most heavily armed ship in the world. The traditional Israeli lack of concern for topweight problems may cause difficulties in rough weather, unless fuel tanks are kept topped up and the SSM capacity is reduced.
